VCB's 2025 Row Around Manhattan
On Saturday, August 23, sixty-two rowers in ten boats set out at dawn to ply our oars all day. Our biggest RAM ever included groups from upstate New York, Massachusetts, and the UK. Hurricane Erin had just blown by, leaving clear blue skies and pleasant temperatures—easy going around the Battery, up the East and Harlem Rivers, until we emerged onto the Hudson. There strong headwinds with fierce gusts and huge waves challenged us all the way home to Pier 40.
Our biggest fundraiser of the year, we exceeded our $12,000 goal. Many thanks to all who donated to support VCB’s free rowing programs for the public and high school youth. It’s not too late to donate. Just go here.
Huge thanks to all the volunteers who made this RAM exceptional!
