Village Community Boathouse is offering free rowing in traditional, handmade wooden rowboats on seven weekday evenings this summer from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
You will get 25 minutes to explore beautiful Van Cortlandt Park Lake. Boats are available on a first-come-first-served basis, no reservations.
Rowing is a beautifully simple, healthy, and empowering sport, and the waters of the lake are an ideal place to pursue its pleasures.
When:
2023 schedule TBD.
Where:
The south end of Van Cortlandt Lake, between the blue bridge and the golf house.

Who can participate:

Each adult must sign a waiver; children must be accompanied by a parent. Life jackets are provided—and must be worn!
Volunteers are greatly appreciated! To help with set up, meet at the container in the parking lot south of the lake at 4:00 p.m.
Our boats:
The five boats in Van Cortlandt Park are set up for one rower, with the three larger boats having space for several passengers. More about our fleet: Our Fleet
